Our school is located in the parish of Christ the Redeemer.
Our parish priest is Father Morrough O’ Brien, who is also the parish priest of St. William of York.
Our Church
Our parish church of St. Ethelbert’s is directly next door to our school. We are very fortunate that our children are able to attend mass regularly, both as a whole school and with their class. Masses are well attended by parents and parishioners.
Our children also use the church for their sacramental programme preparation and for other events such as the KS2 Christmas Play and Y5’s dramatization of the Stations of the Cross in Lent.
The school has good links with the parish – for example, the SVP supports some of our families with winter coats and with meals at Christmas. The parish Christmas Fair is held in school.
Our prayer trail for the Year of Prayer was set up in church and was used by the children and the Parish Prayer Group to enable them to spend quiet time with God.
